Ako, halos lahat ng may gata ay paborito ko, iba kasi talaga ang gata, malasa at masarap. Once a week, I had to cook dish with coconut milk, either fish, chicken or pork and even vegetables, any kind of veggies can be best paired with gata.
Today, I wanna share to you may ginataang manok/chicken in coconut milk recipe. Its super easy to cook yet, super yummy.
Note: My cooking doesn't have exact measurement of ingredients. Kumbaga tantiya tantiya lang, basta naaayon sa iyong panlasa.
Ginataang Manok/Chicken in Coconut Milk Recipe
- 1/2 kilo chicken
- gata (may pangalawang piga)
- 1/2 papaya
- 1 tali malunggay leaves
- onion, garlic and ginger
- salt/patis and pepper
- a pinch of sugar
- siling labuyo or siling haba
- 3 pcs kalamansi or 1 tbsp suka
- 2 tbsp oil for sauteing
- Saute onion, garlic and ginger in oil. Add the chicken, and saute until the chicken has no blood.
- Put in the gata, ung pangalawang piga and let it simmer.
- Add the papaya, kalamansi and sili.
- Put in the kakang gata (1st extraction) and season with salt and pepper, and a pinch of sugar lang to balance the taste. Let it simmer until the chicken is cooked.
- Lastly, add the malunggay leaves. And serve with rice.
Kahit simpleng pagkain basta may kasamang pagmamahal ang pagluluto ay sumasarap sa panlasa ng mga kumakain.
