STEAM CHICKEN RECIPE

Did you experience laziness in the kitchen.? 

Yung tipong napapagod ka na maggayat ng mga rekado, yung tipong hindi mo alam kung ano ang lulutuin mo kahit marami naman ingredients ang nasa harap mo.?

Me, I feel that already today. I feel bored, I don't want to think on what's am I gonna cook and I don't have enough ingredients because I did not go to the market. I look at our refrigerator and chicken na lang ang laman ng freezer. What I am gonna do? Isip, isip, isip....! I have bokchoy and onion leeks. The super easy that comes first to my mind is to steam the chicken, because it doesn't need so much ingredients.

Kaya magluto na tayo at gutom na ako.

Notes: My cooking does not have exact measurements of ingredients, kumbaga tantiya tantiya lang ng naaayon sa aking panlasa.


Steam Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:
For the marinade:
  • 500g chicken
  • 2 tbsp soysauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • onion leeks
  • grated ginger
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
For the sauce:
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soysauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch dissolve in 1 tbsp water
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • grated ginger
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • green onions
  • bokchoy (blanched)
Procedure:
  • Combine soysauce, lemon juice, vinegar, ginger, onion leeks, chili flakes and salt and pepper in a bowl. Add the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes or more.

  • In a pot, put half of water and bring to boil.
  • Steam the chicken in a medium heat for 30 to 45 minutes. (dapat may cloth ang takip ng steamer para hindi malagyan ng water ang chicken).
  • For the sauce
  • In a small wok, put in sesame oil and saute the garlic, ginger and onion leeks.
  • Add the soysauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, sugar, water and the cornstarch.
  • Continue stirring until the sauce is thicken.
  • Arrange the cooked chicken in a plate with bokchoy. Drizzle the sauce on top and sprinkle with toasted garlic and the remaining green onions on top. Serve and enjoy.

Ang pagkain kahit na simple lang basta masarap at may kasamang pagmamahal ang pagluluto, mas lalong sumasarap sa panlasa ng mga kumakain nito.
