I really loved seafoods. All kinds of seafoods talaga, tahong or mussels, fish (my fave is salmon), crabs, and shrimps etc. I grow up near the sea, and we also have banca before kaya almost everyday fish ang ulam namin noon. Before, when I was a kid, the fisherman caught plenty of fish in our barangay, but now I don't even know. Maybe, hindi na katulad ng dati na sagana, because today the cost of seafoods is really higher than before.
But, sempre we need to eat them to get some nutrients to our body, hindi naman pwedeng laging karne ang kainin dahil sakit naman ang makukuha mo.
We just have to be good in budgeting our money, to eat healthy today di ba? Anyway, ang haba ng sinabi ko noh. hahaha!
When I went to the market, I am hoping na there is a tahong kasi gusto kong magluto ng tinola. And meron nga, 120 per kilo., mahal noh.!
Magluto na tayo ng tinolang tahong.
Notes: My cooking does not have exact measurement of ingredients, kumbaga tantiya tantiya lang ng naaayon sa aking panlasa.
Tinolang Tahong Recipe
Ingredients:- 1/2 kg tahong/mussels
- pechay
- onion, garlic and ginger
- salt and pepper to taste (or you can use fish sauce, if you like)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- water (about 2 to 3 cups)
- Saute onion, garlic and ginger until translucent and the fragrant comes out.
- Add the tahong and sauce for about 2 minutes. Add the water and let it boil.
- Once the tahong is open, add the pechay and season with salt and pepper. Do not overcooked the mussel para hindi lumiit.
- Serve and enjoy the soup.
Di ba, super dali lang at super easy pero masustansiyang pagkain at ulam.
Tahong is a great source of vitamin B12 and selenium which helps in regulating body normal metabolism as well as prevent fatigue and depression. They are also rich in vitamin C, iron, folate, phosphorus, manganese and zinc. (source from google)
Simpleng pagkain ay sumasarap basta may kasamang pagmamahal ang pagluluto di ba!
